New Port Vale signing Matty Craig says he is “buzzing” after agreeing a permanent move to the Valiants.
Craig became Vale’s third signing of the summer when he agreed a three year deal. After several loan spells, the permanent transfer represents a significant step for the youngster. He told the club’s PVTV channel: “I’m excited. Just buzzing to get started. It gives me a chance to really kick on.”

The 23 year-old said Vale’s faith in his ability was a key factor adding: “It’s a reassurance to know that when the club wants you and that’s really an attractive thing too. You want to play for someone who believes in you.”
The midfielder was impressed by the club when he visited commenting: “When you come and look around the club. It has a family feel to it. Obviously the stadium’s a great place to play. All of that. I’m mainly just excited to get in and have a look around and obviously chat to the manager. Hear his thoughts on where he plans to take the club. Having had those conversations I’m really buzzing to come here and get started.”
On the pitch, Craig made no secret of his ambition saying that in terms of his role on the pitch he was “hoping an important one. Once I get on the pitch, someone who will do everything for the badge.”
