Port Vale have confirmed the dates of popular friendly games against Kidsgrove Athletic and Newcastle Town as well as a trip to Spain for first-team players.
The club confirmed that “the men’s first-team squad will travel to the Murcia region of Spain for a week-long training camp, in preparation for the 2026/27 campaign.”
The Valiants also confirmed that friendlies will not take place at Vale Park due to pitch work adding: “over the coming weeks, the club will also confirm a series of friendly matches either side of the visit to Spain. Please note that, due to our ongoing pitch works, these are likely to take place at away venues.”
The club also said that they are “exploring the opportunity to host an open training session for supporters once pitch works are complete.”
Two friendly dates have been confirmed as:
- Kidsgrove Athletic vs Port Vale XI – Saturday 11th July, (2pm KO)
- Newcastle Town vs Port Vale XI – Tuesday 14th July (7:30pm KO)
