Port Vale’s New Zealand International striker Ben Waine may be lining up against the likes of Harry Kane and Jordan Pickford in a summer friendly match.
The New Zealand FA have announced that the two sides will meet in a friendly game before the start of the 2026 World Cup.
Port Vale striker Waine has 28 caps for his country (scoring eight goals) including three caps since joining the Valiants.
If Waine is selected he could become the first current Port Vale player since Chris Birchall to play an International game against England.
The All Whites announced details of the friendly saying:
New Zealand Football have confirmed a blockbuster All Whites fixture ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026, taking on England (FIFA Rank 4), one of the favourites for the tournament, in south Florida, USA.
The match will be played on Saturday 6 June (local time), with the venue and kick-off time to be announced in due course.
The game will see the All Whites face their highest-ranked opponent in 17 years, coming face to face with The Three Lions for the first time since 1991, and for just the third time in history.

I hope he scores a hat trick and loses the game 4-3
