Port Vale have a number of injury concerns ahead of their League One fixture against Bradford City on Wednesday evening.
That is a real blow. I think he had been rejuvenated and it is such a shame. He will be out for a few weeks…
Jayden Stockley will be missing after he picked up a calf injury. Manager Jon Brady told BBC Radio Stoke: “We rested Jayden the other night and then he came out training and said he felt something. We’ve scanned him and think he has nicked his calf. That is a real blow. I think he had been rejuvenated and it is such a shame. He will be out for a few weeks.”
In Stockley’s absence there could be another start for loanee Dejaune Brown, who was impressive against Sunderland in the FA Cup. Andre Gray is short of match sharpness and Martin Sherif is a doubt (more on him below) making Brown the most likely starter.
Defender Cameron Humphreys and striker Sherif are doubts for the game. Humphreys was forced off during the Sunderland game and will be assessed while Sherif was ill. If Humphreys fails to make it Tyler Magloire is the most likely player to step in at the back.
There are no updates on Vale’s other injured players – Ben Heneghan, Ryan Croasdale, George Byers and Ben Garrity.
