Port Vale manager Jon Brady was pleased with his side’s second-half display saying a draw was the “minimum” his team deserved against Reading.
The Valiants snatched a 1-1 draw with a late goal from sub Martin Sherif but before that Vale had put in a much improved second-half display.
They have been through some real tough times so can we really start and maybe create some momentum going into the next game. Then with the finish, I felt that was the minimum we deserved…
Vale conceded a penalty in the first-half and although supporters felt the officials’ decision was harsh, Brady said keeper Joe Gauci shouldn’t have made the challenge. He commented: “In my opinion I don’t feel he (Gauci) needs to go and get involved in it because we are coming across and dealing with it anyway.”
The Vale manager was more pleased with the second-half performance adding: “I am really pleased for the boys. With about ten minutes to go, I said to the staff, we’ve played really well in the second-half. We stepped on top them, dominated the ball, had a lot of chances and flashes in and around your six yard box.
“Just to see them play with the fluidity in the second half on that pitch was incredible really. It felt really good in the second-half. They have been through some real tough times so can we really start and maybe create some momentum going into the next game. Then with the finish, I felt that was the minimum we deserved.”

A Win ,
Much better second half but not looking for precision from the vale in the area just swing your foot too much hesitancy from the players
