Get them all gone, Matt Handcock and Carol “never present” Shanahan. This club is finished and it’s infuriating to watch it slowly become a league 2 club. We can only HOPE the Saudi’s feel pity for us now and give us millions to do something with. I want a local owner don’t get me wrong but all of the ones who come to the Vale just do not care. #CarolOut #HancockOut

Thers your opinion my opinion differs. The problem I see is that the owners have spent to much time on the community, for all their good will .The community has not repaid them by coming through the turnstiles and the excessive amount of extra funds the club is paying out to community related staff they employ .

In addition to Johnson, Plant, Faal and Curtis already gone, the three loan players will depart plus a probable 8-10 others this summer. In total the squad Brady inherited will be reduced by at least 12-15 players. That’s a major overhaul by any standard. Streamlined and trimmed down squad next season, but the were calibre of new signings remains to be seen. I would like to young Shorrock, Walters, and Richards as first team regulars next season. They’re unquestionably good enough for League 2, and integral to building a new team.

The clearout is badly needed so hope Mr Brady gets it right, since first going to vale park as a 5yr old in 1952 the club has add a few highs mostly low’s and always found a way to survive however on the playing side this is the lowest we have ever been as regards to the quality of the squad and as a retained list my squad will leave us in the position of not even the numbers to field a side::: SHORROCK OJO COLE GORDON LOMAX HEADLEY WAINE WALTERS PATON & CLARK (Who as I write Might Already BeOut The Door ) Never been so worried on the playing side non-league is aREAL Possibility So Hope I’m Wide of The Mark anyway once a VALE Always A VALE . Looking at the players out of contact I would probably offer new contracts to five and it would only be a one year contract as for the others in contact I would try to move at least five on as I consider them not good enough for non league

I would offer contracts to
Heneghan
Hall
Ojo
Croasdale
Hernandez
Let the rest go
Try to offload Marosi,Byers and Headley
Leaves a squad of 16 if the above sign up.
Add 3 prospect’s from lower league plus our own academy lads we’ll be good to go for next season

but our new manager dose not like young players from our own academy he has already had two now he bought back from loans to just leave them doing nothing not even a sub

To be pedantic he did do something with one returning loanee – James Plant was sold on to Tranmere Rovers. So, it was Jack Shorrock, specifically, who was brought back and didn’t feature apart from being on the bench on one occasion.

I feel there is something fundamentally wrong at the Vale. Supporters are being urged to renew or buy season tickets to support Jon Brady’s plan. What is Brady’s plan? Once again supporters are being asked to trust the Club with their hard earned cash which has resulted in 2 promotions and 2 relegations and the Club ending up in the same League as when the Shanahans brought the Club.
I’ve never been really clear about what the plan is for the Club much of what has been done has been mainly reactive to issues which have happened to the Club and its never been made clear if they have been part of some grand plan. This is especially so for the football team manager players and support staff. The quality of the team being put out to play for the Club has never really improved and in my opinion is worse than the team which won the first promotion to League 1. Continuing problems in key areas such as strikers have been addressed in a slap dash fashion with no apparent sign that this will be resolved during this transfer window.

The Club is in a mess it can’t continue like this something needs to happen quickly is there a Plan if so what is it the supporters need to know there can’t be another season like the last one.

The big one for me is Byers. The guy is reputed to be on £7k a week and that’s ridiculous for a club of Vales finances. With Cole said to be on a similar wage structure, WHO in their right mind (ie Hancock and Carol) would rubber stamp this. Their wages alone would cost the club £728k a year alone. These ludicrous decisions are why the clubs finances are what they are. It doesn’t need a football man to come in to rectify this, just someone with half a brain! Byers is on twice the wage any of Lincoln players are on, with a two league gap between us. For me Byers would need to score 35-40 goals a season to justify wages like this in league two, and not just pons about on the toes of the back four, 20 games a season. If there is anyway the club can rid themselves of this burden it needs to be explored.

Now I’ve had my rant about Byers! Brady is stuck with at least four players still under contract which I don’t think he would want. Obviously we need a keeper, and personally I think if Vale could resign Hall, possibly Heneghan, Ojo, Croasdale, and a fit Garrity and Stockley we would have the backbone to put a good challenge in. I would also offer Hernandez a season, half a game with his ability would be enough to turn a lot of draws into wins. Lincoln were a big eye opener, somehow they have managed to walk through league ONE, gaining 103 points with no outstanding players. It’s been accomplished with organisation, a brilliant mindset and belief in what they are doing. Brady has managed to achieve this on a couple of occasions but with no consistency. We do need forwards but more importantly when chances come along we need to take them. Several occasions against Lincoln Hernandez played balls back into the path of players, but on every occasion players needed one or two touches instead of striking the ball first time. If that’s a confidence thing ? York and Bristol Rovers will come into the season full of confidence but Vale proved two seasons ago, under the worst manager (for me) the club has ever had, turn up, press teams and the opposition makes mistakes at this level.
