24 year-old striker Ben Waine has played in his third International of the season for New Zealand.
Waine came on in the 74th minute of New Zealand’s 2-1 loss to Colombia in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The forward, who joined the Valiants in the summer, has now made three appearances for his country while a Vale player. Waine is one of seventeen Vale players to represent his country and his three caps while a Valiant takes him to joint-seventh place in the all-time International appearances table.
Waine is now level with Andy Jones (three caps for Wales) and Billy Bingham (three caps for Northern Ireland). Chris Birchall heads the table with 27 caps for Trinidad and Tobago.
The striker has appeared for his country in games against Poland, Norway and now Colombia this campaign.
While Waine has been a regular for his country, his appearances in a Vale shirt have been more scarce. He has made just four starts and three sub appearances with his last participation being the Football League Trophy game against Leeds Utd U21 back on the 2nd September.

Another great signing by Dopey
