Rookie goalkeeper Arron Davies has extended his stay on loan plus news on how Port Vale’s other loaned out players are faring.
Aaron Davies (Stafford Rangers)
The young, highly-rated keeper has agreed an extended stay with non-league side Stafford Rangers. Davies will now be at Stafford for a further month. The teenager is in the second year of his professional life at Vale Park but is unlikely to pick up any first-team chances in Burslem this season with Ben Amos, Marko Marosi and Joe Gauci ahead of him. So, an extended spell at Stafford gives the teenager valuable gametime. Davies started and kept a clean sheet in a 0-0 home draw against Bootle at the weekend.
James Plant (Yeovil Town)
After three wins in a row, the 21 year-old suffered a defeat at the weekend. Yeovil lost 3-0 to Boreham Wood with Plant being replaced on 55 minutes. The versatile youngster has now made eleven appearances on loan this season. It’s Plant’s third time on loan with Yeovil and he now totals 24 games and 2 goals across the three spells.
Sam Hart (Falkirk)
The 29 year-old left wingback has made just the one appearance in the Scottish Premiership since joining Falkirk on loan. He wasn’t included in the squad which drew 1-1 with Rangers – a match which ended Russell Martin’s tenure as Rangers boss.
Rico Richards (Walsall)
Like Hart, Richards has also enjoyed a quiet start to his loan spell with just two appearances for the Saddlers so far. He wasn’t involved in the match squad which saw Walsall beat Bristol Rovers 2-1. It was a game with a number of Vale connections – with manager Darrell Clark and striker Ellis Harrison on the Bristol Rovers side and former goalkeeper Sam Hornby on the Walsall bench.
Liam Brazier (Warrington Town)
The midfielder came on as a substitute as Warrington exited the FA Trophy after a 1-0 loss to Hyde United. Brazier had a late effort saved as Warrington chased an equaliser late on.
Zayn Sadiq and Logan Cousins (Kidsgrove Athletic)
The young duo both played the full ninety minutes as Kidsgrove recorded a 2-1 home win over Stalybridge Celtic in the Northern Premier League – West Division.
