Manager Darren Moore says that a number of Port Vale players could soon be involved after he updated the club’s media team on their status.
Moore spoke to the PVFC team after the 0-0 draw with Burton Albion.
Moore said that striker Ruari Paton is one player who will not be returning soon.
He commented: “Ruari’s still a little bit of time yet. We’ll get him back on the grass and see how he is.”
However, there was better news on three other players. Jaheim Headley is available again after suspension, Jordan Gabriel featured in the cup tie against Blackpool while captain Ben Garrity is poised to make his return from injury.
Moore said: “(Ben) Garrity, (Jordan) Gabriel and of course Jaheim Headley’s suspension’s up now so we’re hoping to gain those bodies next week and it’s probably timely with the fixture schedule that we’ve got coming up.”

Can’t wait to see the return of Ben garrity,is there a better attacking midfielder at the club,my opinion is no,I also think he’ll thrive in a three with funso and Ryan
It’s always good news when Ben Garrity is available but I’m not sure he can be classed as an attacking midfield player now as he’s generally employed in a deeper role.
When he was played further up the park he’d be in double figures for goals but in the more cautious system favoured by Darren Moore we look hard to score against and hard to beat but it’s difficult to see us scoring too many, Tolaj being the only player you could class as a regular goalscorer and he’s new to League1 football.
I think everyone will be happy when Ben Garrity is fit, but for me I’m not sure the fans will see the Ben Garrity again we all crave for. Moore hasn’t really used Garrity in his best position and I do think he has been struggling and playing with injuries for the last 12 months. A fit Byers will always be Moores first name on the team sheet, Croasdale is a must and Ojo has come into the team and done very well. The only way back into the team would be at the expense of Ojo which would mean Garrity would again be used in a more deeper roll.
