Wingback Mitch Clark has told the local media that he “always wanted to re-sign” for the Valiants and it was his “number one priority.”
Clark had an impressive 2024-25 season and there was some speculation on his future when the player and club engaged in contract negotiations over the summer. The news that Clark had agreed a new one year deal was greeted with relief by most fans.
The 26 year-old has had four spells with the Valiants, three of them on loan and it will his 100th game for the club if he is picked on Thursday.
Clark told the media: “I always wanted to re-sign no matter what the options were. It was my number one priority. I’ve been here a long time now over different spells.”
The wingback isn’t worried about competition for his place adding: “Even with Jordan (Gabriel) coming in, Kyle (John) still here, I still think I’ve got a lot to offer. I just think for me now it’s about proving to people I’m capable of playing at this level.”

Great Mitch signed on Saturday he ran himself in the ground in my view the best player on Saturday with that sort of commitment he will have a great season
