According to an account on X, Derby County are set to make a £2m bid for Vale youngster Jack Shorrock.
According to @DCFC_Updates the Rams have tabled the bid for the youngster who recently turned 18 years of age.
Shorrock has long been seen as a rising star at the Valiants. He holds the records for youngest senior appearance (15 years and 145 days) and youngest goalscorer (16 years 242 days) and his strike against Crewe last season was voted goal of the season. He was voted the EFL League Two apprentice of the year after impressing in the club’s promotion campaign despite still being 17 years of age.
The attacking left wingback already has forty senior appearances to his name at Vale Park, scoring three times.
Perhaps an indication that the club are prepared for a bid for Shorrock is the club’s summer transfer business. Vale have brought in Liam Gordon and also have Jaheim Headley and Sam Hart as left footed wingback meaning the club is well covered if Shorrock does depart.

Sell, sell, sell, before they change their minds!
We seem to be a well oiled line for academy products. As long as we keep out of div2 is fine. But I love too see local guys come through.
