Wingback Jack Shorrock and defender Connor Hall were both winners at the 2025 Football League awards.
However, manager Darren Moore was beaten by Bradford City boss Graham Alexander to the League Two manager of the year award.
Teenager Shorrock was named League Two apprentice of the year while the consistent Hall was named in the League Two team of the season.

Well done to the Darren Moore Manager so
proud of the hard work and the coaches all
Team work excellent.
Josh Sharrock happy 18th birthday excellent achievement you party at the weekend ⚽️ also Connor Hall well done excellent achievement and for all the staff involved that you don’t see what they have to do for PVFC to keep the club running smoothly. UP THE VALIENTS Thank you brilliant team work lads.
Wonder why Graham Alexander has been awarded League 2 manager of the season. Bradford are not guaranteed to be promoted and might end up in the play offs.
I’d be more likely to vote for the Bromley manager who have achieved mid table respectability in their first season in the football league.
Bradford have had a good season by recent standards but given their massive support you’d expect them to have a competitive budget which should give them an advantage.
I think it’s because the voting takes place while the season is ongoing. It’s odd that they do “end of season” awards that way. The Vale also did a similar thing with the club awards. I do think if it’s an award for the season then allow the whole season to complete before asking for votes.
Yes I agree with Rob Fielding it should count for the whole season we have a few players who worked their socks off to achieve what they did and also Darren should have been manager of the year when he got his team promoted back at first attempt so it would be nice to know what he has to do to get it but well done to all our team keep the faith VALE
