Port Vale manager Darren Moore told the media that they would assess influential skipper Ben Garrity ahead of Monday’s game with Grimsby Town.
Garrity’s influence on the side has been well documented, so it caused some anxiety amongst Vale fans to see him replaced after being injured in Friday’s loss to Carlisle United.
Moore told the media: “We’ll have to assess him. There was a lot of discomfort as the game moved on so we had to make a change there. We’ll have to see what he’s like but it’s too early to say at the moment. Hopefully we did the right thing in taking him off.”
If Garrity is not able to make it, Moore could opt for Ronan Curtis (who replaced Garrity on Friday), loanee Rico Richards or Ethan Chislett. Curtis, a sub on Friday, would appear to be the most likely replacement either in Garrity’s central role or perhaps as part of a front three.

Curtis as a Genuine winger, 3 kick taker, general menace must start more matches so we hav more of a supply to top 2 .
