Port Vale manager Darren Moore says it will be a few days before the club know the extent of the injuries suffered by Mitch Clark and Rico Richards.
The duo were both forced off injured during Port Vale’s comprehensive 4-1 Football League Trophy defeat to Wrexham on Tuesday evening. Of the two, Clark’s injury looked the more serious although it is not possible to tell at this stage.
The right wingback has been out of luck this season. After recovering from a serious neck injury, Clark came back into the first-team and impressed only to be sent-off against Chesterfield. Fans will be hoping that this latest knock is nothing serious. Loanee Richards also impressed during his return to first-team action before leaving the pitch in the second-half.
Moore told the media: “We have to allow them a few days at least before we can get any diagnosis. You have to let them settle down and let the medical staff do their work.”
