Port Vale manager Darren Moore says that “one or two” Port Vale players could follow Ruari Paton and move out on loan.
Moore was speaking to the media ahead of the game with Chesterfield and this is what he told the local media.
Players moving out on loan
“I think for us it (the transfer window) is more one or two seeking maybe a loan away to get some regular football. We have had some conversations with clubs with one or two of our players. Nothing has materialised as yet. But the ones we are thinking about, if that does come around then we would welcome that.”
Brandon Cover returning to his parent club
“Brandon came in when Mitch (Clark) was injured. Credit to him, for someone that had never had any exposure to League Two football, he has been outstanding. Magnificent. We took the opportunity to send Brandon back because with Mitch Clark being fit, Kyle John being fit and Tom Sang back from his suspension, we just felt we have cover on that right side.”
The future of the two remaining loan players
“Both (Rico Richards and Antwoine Hackford) are staying which is great for us in terms of what they have done. Two young players that have come in and contributed to where we are and will continue to contribute.”
Ruari Paton’s loan move to Dundee Utd
“He’s gone to a good level and we are in total control of it. He is there on loan, he is still our player and I am sure, when he does come back to us, he will be better for the game time he gets up there.”
The squad’s striking resources
“We feel happy at the front end of the pitch. Also, we look at the overall balance of the team and the ones who have come back off the treatment table are like new signings. Ben Garrity and Rekeem Harper were and so was Jayden Stockley.”
Connor Ripley’s return from paternity leave
“We have been working with him today and it is great to see him. We welcome him back into the club, we will get him going and then we will see how it goes. But we have three goalkeepers and obviously we want him to get back in and catch up to where the other two are. Then we will assess him from there.”
