We take a look at how Port Vale’s three currently out on loan players are faring during their spells away from Vale Park.
James Plant (Yeovil)
The youngster has forged a regular place in the Yeovil line-up since moving to the National League side on loan. Plant was something of a utility player in recent months at Vale Park and there seems to be no difference at Huish Park with the 21 year-old playing at both left wingback and right wingback. However, he has made an impact with Yeovil unbeaten in the games Plant has appeared in

Dan Jones (Gateshead)
Another player loaned to a National League club and a near identical loan spell. Like Plant, left-sided defender Jones has forged a regular place in the team and has also seen his team unbeaten in the games he has appeared in. With Gateshead currently fourth in the table there could even be a promotion challenge on for Jones.

Funso Ojo (Shrewsbury)
The veteran midfielder moved to the League One side in August after just two appearances for the Valiants in the early stages of the season. He has swiftly become a regular with the Shrews alongside former Valiants Mal Benning and George Lloyd. However, despite Ojo’s presence, Shrewsbury are struggling in the League with manager Paul Hurst being sacked at the weekend. So, there is now the uncertainty of whether Hurst’s replacement will want to maintain the midfielder past the New Year or not.
