Port Vale manager felt his team put on an “outstanding” display on Saturday as they secured a 1-0 away win against Notts County.
The home side dominated possession but Vale won it thanks to a clinical breakaway in the first-half which saw Lorent Tolaj hit the target.

It was always going to be a hard fought three points here. It was an outstanding away day performance. We knew it was going to take an all-round team performance today…
On the team’s defensive display…
The clean sheet’s very, very important. We felt this season we could have been two or three clean sheets to the good. We felt that we’ve given away goals that were unnecessary. To get that today was excellent. Everyone to a man, including the subs played their part…
On any negatives…
On the ball we could have used it a lot better but I can’t let that overshadow a very good away performance…
On the travelling Vale fans…
