Funso Ojo departs Port Vale after sealing loan move to Shrewsbury Town

Port Vale midfielder Funso Ojo has agreed to a season-long loan to League One side Shrewsbury Town.

Ojo, aged 33, who is under contract for another two years, has faced competition for his place this season following the signings of Ryan Croasdale and George Byers.

The Belgian defensive midfielder joined the club in 2022 and has made eighty appearances for the Valiants, scoring six times.

A message from Port Vale FC read: “We would like to wish Funso the best of luck with his loan move and for the 2024/25 campaign.”
