Port Vale completed the loan signing of young Sheffield United striker Antwoine Hackford during a busy transfer window deadline day in August 2024.

Previously on loan at Burton Albion last season, 20 year-old Hackford also became the Blades youngest Premier League player when he appeared aged just 16 in 2021. He follows in the footsteps of Ollie Arblaster who played for the Valiants on loan last season.

Speaking of Hackford’s loan deal, Port Vale Manager, Darren Moore, said: “Antwoine is an exciting, tenacious forward who has the bravery to get on the ball and to drive at defenders and get supporters off their seats.

“He is another player who plays without fear and adds even further competition at the top end of the pitch.

“I would like to thank Chris Wilder and the team at Sheffield United for their trust with Antwoine and we all look forward to working closely with him this coming season.”

Hackford proved to be a useful forward option, especially coming off the bench. He finished the season with four goals before returning to his parent club.
