Carol Shanahan has explained a raft of changes to Port Vale’s structure in a wide ranging video interview published by the club.
In a near half-hour video Shanahan explains some of the changes will be:
- A restructuring of the club including new departments responsible for “their own profit and loss”
- There will be nine major departments including football related (headed by David Flitcroft), people (Matt Hancock) and stadium/operations (Claire Halkett)
- Her son, Patrick will then work with all the departments on strategy
Shanahan also discusses:
- Work on new values and missions across the club
- Planning for the future after a “tough” first season in League One
- Plans for a new scoreboard to replace the one in the Hamil Road stand which is “on its last legs”
