Former Cardiff City midfielder Tom Sang became Port Vale’s first signing of the summer of 2023 when he agreed a two-year deal with the club in June.

Sang has experience of Championship football while with Cardiff and manager Andy Crosby said of the signing: “After speaking to Tom it’s clear to me that he has the hunger and determination needed to succeed and I look forward to seeing him grow on and off the pitch here at Vale Park. His versatility will give us options and his positivity and work ethic will ensure he beds in well with the squad.”

Prior to joining the Valiants, Sang had enjoyed loan spells with Cheltenham Town and Scottish side St Johnstone.

He was employed in a variety of positions during his two year spell with the Valiants and helped earned promotion before being released in the summer of 2025.
