Port Vale to hold pitch inspection ahead of game with Accrington

Port Vale will conduct an early pitch inspection ahead of this weekend’s planned match against Accrington Stanley.

The adverse weather could cause the game to be called off.

A club statement said:

Due to the freezing temperatures up and down the country over the past week that are expected to continue into the weekend, there will be a pitch inspection on Friday ahead of Saturday’s match against Accrington Stanley.

An EFL appointed referee will conduct the inspection at 2pm on Friday 16th December.

The club will communicate the result of the inspection as soon as possible on Friday afternoon across our social media channels and website.
