Port Vale’s match against Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday could be postponed after the news of the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
The longest-serving British monarch in history passed away peacefully in the afternoon of Thursday, September 8 at Balmoral Castle in Scotland. Her death has seen millions of tributes left for the late and much-loved Queen.
The country has now entered a period of official mourning, which will see many public events be postponed out of respect.
Friday’s matches were postponed and the EFL has said that they will make an official announcement on Friday to confirm whether or not this weekend’s matches will take place.
