The Sentinel newspaper claims that Port Vale are set to sign Stoke City defender Will Forrester on a permanent deal.
The newspaper says:
Stoke City defender Will Forrester is set to join Port Vale on a permanent deal in a rare transfer between to two clubs.
The 21-year-old centre-back has come through the youth ranks at Stoke but will now make the short move to Vale, StokeonTrentLive understands. It is believed to be the first Stoke player to sign for Vale since John Lumsdon made the switch on loan way back in 1978.
Alsager-born Forrester made a dream debut for the Potters on the final day of the 2020-21 season when he scored in a 2-0 win at Bournemouth. However, his progress was hampered by ankle injuries, which delayed and then prematurely ended a loan spell at Mansfield Town.
