Port Vale manager Jon Brady says the club has “six or seven” players out through injury and he cannot put a timeframe on their return.
His comments suggest none of the injured players will feature before the end of the season.
We only have two weeks to go and what you don’t want to do, with anyone that’s outside, is rush them back and break them for the following season…
Brady told the inhouse PVTV media team: “We have about six or seven out at the moment and we are still putting in those types of performances. I can’t put timeframes on them.
“It would be nice to see them but also reward players at the moment that are putting in a hell of a shift. We only have two weeks to go and what you don’t want to do, with anyone that’s outside, is rush them back and break them for the following season.”
Players missing include midfielder George Byers, who has been missing since January, defender Ben Heneghan, striker Jayden Stockley, youngster Kyle John, striker Andre Gray and midfielder Funso Ojo. The latter was understood to have played through injury recently before being rested.
