It wasn’t the most exciting game but Vale clearly set out to give nothing away and that is what they achieved. Good performance from our keeper who made a couple of great saves, having been gifted the first goal Cole turned half a chance into a goal, he is going to be very important to our hopes of survival in league one. Let’s see what next week brings, hopefully Mr Moore won’t make wholesale changes which will allow some cohesion to form. Keep the faith. Up the Vale

I think our goalie did a lot to stop them scoring with his 2 great saves and ui rated him our second best player on the day .
He got a clean sheet too and the saves ge made stipped it being a draw . I realy like him. I wonder how much he would cost
The players played well and devantes goal was not as easy as it looked . Patton was my player if the match after scoring his goal and having the hindsite with a perfect weighted ball ti fir cile to score .
On my team sheet i put paton and cole up font and i had 2 players ommited from my team sheet .
Well done to all the players really for their defending ,and midfield and the never say die attitude they took on for the game .
I have critisised Moore on a few games this season for notputting out our best 11 players anfd i did wonder why ojo did not start but then again croasdale did a lot of chasing and clising down their playrrs .
John had a good game but when headly came on he lost the ball a lot and that put pressure on us i thought

Moore’s post game comments should include squad injury updates to help decipher why players have been omitted from his match day squad. Saturday was an example, when top midfielder Walters wasn’t included. The same could be said for Garrity’s surprise return. Moore tends to keep his cards close to his chest. That’s his prerogative, but there’s definitely room for more transparency with supporters.

One Swallow does not make a Summer we all breathed a sigh of relief it was good to see Ben Gerrity back hope can stay fit and probably our best two fit front men who took their goals well.
However if we look at the match stats for this and the last couple of games they are not good and go some way to understand why we have struggled, we need to keep a winning side together so they can get more cohesion and understanding so that we can start to play teams off the Park but I’m not hopeful that DM the tactical genius will do what the fans have been saying for weeks

Usually the case that the Vale look better with a fit Garrity in the side. We cannot rely on this of course. A good away performance – and a deserved win helped by some good saves. Shocking officials.

I have family connections with Exeter and happened to be in the city a fortnight ago and watched them destroy Blackpool 4-0, so I was worried about how the game would go. Needn’t have worried – but still feel a long season ahead. UTV
