Yes looks like we are being lead down the garden path the money will just be put into the club in other ways which is good BUT you need to get and keep a good balanced side to compete what I’m saying is yes there is fine margins but on the pitch is what should always win out because that’s what us fans pay to watch

If it’s true same old story with the Vale penny pinching as far as strikers are concerned loanees or untried players from lower leagues. All the talk of progression of the football club in the EFL is a figment of the imagination of the owners and manager. The club desperately needed a proven goal scorer even before Tolaj left now it needs 2! Was this player part of the plan if Tolaj left or a panic reaction to his departure?
Still think the influence of a certain David Flintcroft lurks in the club.

Let’s hope Dane comes too us and prospers. Same old story players injured in preseason training again and now Stockley long term. Time for changes at the top before getting dragged into relegation dog fight.

Scarlet has loads of potential and would be a good signing however last time we had loan signing from Tottenham they pulled the rug from under us in January we need to keep all season for him to benefit us

Im 67years Vale fan living in the south east and ive seen some dark moments ,but i believe in mr Moore ,the owners and the professional approach within the club, i also believe we will finish in the top 10 this season, ive seen most games this season on the tv and ive been impressed with the style of football were playing,we all know what great fans the Vale are so i hope the fans stay close with our great manager ,good players and great board who are taking us in a great direction.
I think selling Tolaj for the money we recieved was a good sale especially if it helps us get Scarlett on loan from Spurs i enjoyed watching him for England under 21s and he will be perfect upfront with either of the 2 big guys. Vale till i die

Brilliant performance at Brum but doommongers need to wobble their heads when we think where the club was &where the club is now under the ownership of Shannon’s fingers crossed we can spend money wisely then onwards & upwards utv ps looks like steady keeper at last will Villa sell ?

I have just that we are looking at another loan player we have your tolaj for 1.2 Million where (Reading )just bought jack marriot from Wrexham why couldn’t we have had him scored goals where ever he’s been why do vale get young players when we need them Now not in few years time A quality striker not one to get experience then we have to send him back

Whilst Dane is a quality talent, why can we not go and get a striker…. stop relying on loans, what if he gets injured and has to go back? or he gets recalled, its going backwards I think its pretty clear we are using that money to put into Infrastructure of the club, We badly need a striker and if we have money to buy one we need to and buy one!

Just what we needed another 19 year old that’s not good enough to get in the squad at Derby obviously couldn’t get the lad from Spurs probably googled Burslem and begged them not to send him to the Hollywood of the Midlands why should we expect anything else after all we as fans know nothing about football!?

There’s a few brain dead comments on here, criticising Vale and Moore. Shame on you!

Tolaj’s departure came out of the blue, cos Plymouth missed out on another target. It’s a terrible time to go out and spend serious money on a striker. Do people want to waste this windfall??

I’m happy if we get a decent loan in. Equally, I suspect what we’ve got is probably enough, certainly till January.

Folks should show a little faith and gratitude!
