Port Vale face Arsenal at home in the League Cup third round

Port Vale have been drawn at home to Arsenal in the third round of the League Cup.

It’s a high profile and lucrative tie for the club.

The draw took place after the final second round fixtures were played on Wednesday evening.

The Valiants reached the third round stage after an excellent away victory at Birmingham City in midweek. In recent seasons, the Vale reached the quarter-final stages during the 2023-24 campaign.

The date for the third round fixture has yet to be announced but the games will be played over a two week period – beginning 15th and 22nd September.
