A Port Vale side lost a behind closed doors friendly game to West Bromwich Albion on Friday.
Details are scant, due to lack of media coverage by the Valiants, but it is understood that the likes of James Plant and Mitch Clark played in the game.
Albion won 2-0 thanks to goals from Tammer Bany and Ollie Bostock. It was played at West Brom’s training base in Walsall.
Vale have had mixed results in their summer friendlies so far – drawing 0-0 with Newcastle Town and beating Kidsgrove Athletic 7-0. Their next friendly game will be against Bath City.
