The Port Vale Academy have announced that one graduate has been offered a professional deal while three others have had their scholarships extended.
The youth ranks have been a good source of players for the Valiants in recent years with the likes of Jack Shorrock, Rhys Walters, James Plant, Nathan Smith, Andrew Buah and Baylee Dipepa all making appearances in the senior side.
This season, the club have announced that defender Joe Williams has been handed his first professional deal after what the club called an “outstanding” season. Williams was named the club’s scholar of the season.
Meanwhile, Liam Brazier, Logan Cousins, and Zayn Sadiq have all been handed a third year of their scholarship with the club.
Alessandro Trapasso-Tully, Joao Silva Pevide, and Louis Francis have all been released.
