The Football League World website says Port Vale are one of four clubs chasing an out of contract Carlisle United striker.
Matthew Dennis has been offered a new deal by relegated Carlisle but according to Football League World, he has been offered alternative deals by Notts County, Fleetwood Town, Walsall and Port Vale.
Dennis, aged 23, appears to be in demand after netting six times in fourteen games towards the end of the season. However, he will be remembered by Vale fans for being dismissed in Carlisle’s 3-2 victory over Vale at Brunton Park.
The striker spent 12 years with Arsenal as a youngster, before signing with Norwich City in the summer of 2020.He was loaned out to Southend United for the 2021/22 season, where he would score eight times in 30 total appearances. Dennis signed for MK Dons in the summer of 2022, where he made just 46 appearances scoring 11 goals before being released in early February of 2024. He then joined Carlisle for the remainder of last season.
