Defender Derek Agyakwa, who had a spell with the Valiants in the 2022-23 season, has gone on to win the League title with his new club.
23 year-old Agyakwa was signed after a trial period with the club in the summer of 2022. The former Watford central defender had impressed during the Vale’s summer friendly games.
However, he failed to break through to the first-team making just two appearances – one of them in the League – before being released.
The Dutch-born player joined Georgian sideFC Iberia 1999 in February 2024 and he made 33 appearances as the club finished top of the Erovnuli Liga – the top division in Georgia. It was the third League title for the Tblisi-based side.
