Port Vale manager Darren Moore has said that skipper Ben Garrity is back in training and back in contention for a return to the first-team.
Garrity’s presence has been seen as hugely influential with the side unbeaten in the last seventeen games in which Garrity has featured.
Moore told the media: “Skipper Ben Garrity has made wonderful progress and is back in and around the group. We are really pleased and are just monitoring him and getting the volume of training into him.
“At this stage, you get the volume into him and just don’t want any reaction to his injury. That’s where Ben is at the moment. He is back in training so we will see how he is going.”
28 year-old Garrity joined the Valiants in 2021 for an undisclosed fee from Blackpool and has 28 goals from 162 appearances for the club.
