Joel Ndala’s loan move from Manchester City to PSV Eindhoven could net Port Vale a substantial fee at the end of the season.
There have been multiple media reports linking the talented youngster with a move out of Manchester City. PSV have now confirmed that Ndala has agreed a season-long loan but, according to reports, a permanent move at the end of the season is one of the terms of the deal. Reports in Manchester suggest that PSV will pay an initial £5.9m for the youngster.
With Ndala joining City from the Vale youth ranks, the Valiants could be eligible for a percentage of that permanent transfer fee. Most youth transfers contain such a clause.
Ndala was born in Manchester, but soon after he was born, his family moved to France. They returned to the UK when Ndala was seven, moving to Stoke-in-Trent, and he was picked up by the Valiants at the age of eight after a member of staff was given a tip off by Ndala’s PE teacher.
Described as “the best I’ve ever seen” by Vale youth coach Callum Rollings, the then 11 year-old Ndala was snapped up by Man City for a reported £300,000 fee.
The talented youngster has impressed in the City junior teams. He turned professional aged 16 and to date has made 68 youth appearances for City, scoring 20 goals and supplying 11 assists along the way. His form has seen him called up to train with the senior side.
