Darren Moore – “The only team that is beating Port Vale at the moment is Port Vale”
The Port Vale manager thinks that “simple, basic, elementary mistakes” are costing the team after Vale conceded two late goals on Tuesday night.
A mistake by defender Jesse Debrah was responsible for the first goal scored by Fleetwood in Tuesday’s 2-2 draw, and it follows on from the defeat against Lincoln on Saturday where mistakes from defenders Nathan Smith and Dan Jones cost the club.
Moore told the Port Vale media team: “It’s a lapse of concentration again which has cost us. The only team that is beating Port Vale at the moment is Port Vale. Just those simple, basic elementary mistakes which are costing us dearly.
“I thought they started really, really well and probably could have added to that tally. When the first goal went in you could feel that step backwards from us. Though it’s a point gained we certainly feel it’s two points dropped.”

I really can’t understand what’s happened since November, we got absolutely battered at home by a team that’s second from bottom with a worse record than us ,I really don’t know now how Darren is going to install any confidence or pride in this team,I really hope Darren knows what he is doing ,I watch this team week in week out and if I was this bad at my job I would have been sacked,so cmon you lot of so called professionals get your head on and do your job

Should have persisted with Andy Crosby. Darren Moore is well respected as a manager but of late has tended to fail more than succeed.
We ought to be doing much better.
The day out at Wembley two years ago is becoming a dim and distant memory.

Should have gone for Ainsworth nothing wrong with Moore but we want someone who would instill bloodcand guts and is used to working at this level, Clarky was a master and we sacked him to replace him with Crosby who was just a cheap replacement, look where its got us.
When we go down the 3 or 4 decent players we have will leave and out biggest task will be too avoid another drop. Flitcroft and our owners have put the club back 5 or maybe 10 years.
One bad decision followed by another and another and another

When is someone in charge of recruitment going to man up and take responsibility for giving the last 3 managers players who are not good enough to do the job and expecting them to work miracles
