Andy Crosby on penalty decision – “obviously it’s frustrating”
Port Vale manager Andy Crosby cut a frustrated figure after a controversial late penalty decided matters at Vale Park on Saturday.
The Valiants lost 1-0 to leaders Portsmouth and Crosby was “frustrated” by the decision although he conceded that the visitors dominated a lot of the play.

Crosby told the media: “They had us penned in for long periods to hang in there and we did. We had to stick together which we did
“Obviously the manner of the deciding goal is very frustrating… I think the initial challenge ( a potential foul on Ethan Chislett) could have gone either way.
“We don’t want to lose games of football obviously. When you concede a goal in that manner late on in the game against the League leaders obviously it’s frustrating and people are angry.
“We have to look at that and learn lessons from that game like we do and focus on the next one.”
