Port Vale Football Club have announced that striker Josh Thomas has joined the Valiants on a season-long loan from Championship side, Swansea City.
Vale have announced a raft of new signings this summer but had just one recognised striker in Ellis Harrison on their books, before this deal was announced.
The new was first announced via a tweet from the club on social media:

Speaking about the signing, manager Andy Crosby said: “Josh is an exciting player who possess exceptional pace and movement. He also has an excellent goal scoring record to date in his career with Swansea’s academy system.
“After speaking in length with him he knows what we’re expecting from him as a Vale player and he is more than ready for the challenge.
“He has been in and around a great environment at Swansea and we are looking forward to him coming into the squad and continuing his development with us both on and off the pitch.”
A statement from Swansea City on their official website read: “He has caught the eye during pre-season, netting five goals, and will now aim to get valuable senior experience under his belt at Vale Park. Everyone at Swansea City wishes Josh every success during his loan spell.”
