Veteran keeper becomes Port Vale’s fifth summer addition

Port Vale have announced that veteran goalkeeper Jayson Leutwiler has become the club’s fifth summer signing.

The keeper joins Conor Grant, Connor Ripley, Alex Iacovitti and Tom Sang as new additions to the squad this summer.

The experienced goalkeeper will be a replacement for the departed Aidan Stone, who has joined Notts County, and is widely expected to offer experienced back-up to first-choice Connor Ripley.

Manager Andy Crosby told the official website: “Jayson is an experienced player that adds strong competition to our new goalkeeping department, his attitude off the pitch is fantastic and we will be using his knowledge and personality to enhance our group.”
