Rumour: former Port Vale loanee is linked with move to France
Former Port Vale loan striker Mipo Odubeko has been linked with a move to France by a national newspaper.
Odubeko was signed on loan by the Valiants in August 2022 but failed to nail down a regular starting place in the team. He made 27 appearances, mostly from the bench, and scored four goals for the Vale. However, he had lost his place in the Valiants squad by the end of the 2022-23 campaign.
The 20 year-old is out of contract in the summer and according to the Irish Independent newspaper the player is seeking a move abroad to ressurect his career.
The newspaper reports:
Ireland U-21 striker Mipo Odubeko could be in line for a transfer to French football in a move which could relaunch his career.
The Dublin native is out of contract with West Ham at the end of this season and he is expected to move on from the London club. Odubeko (20) has been with Port Vale on a season-long loan deal but has not played for the club since February.
A number of Championship sides have inquired about Tallaght man Odubeko but Independent.ie understands that there is also interest from top-flight clubs in France and Odubeko would consider a move to the French league.
