Sentinel reports on £1.2m Vale Park stadium improvements this summer
The Sentinel newspaper has reported on the club’s £1.2m Vale Park stadium improvements that are underway this summer.
It’s a hugely impressive amount of work by the club especially considering a truncated summer due to Vale’s successful play-off campaign and the Robbie Williams homecoming concert.

General
- A new £300,000 PA system
- All toilet blocks refurbished
- Access controlled doors throughout the stadium
The Hamil End
- Refurbished kiosks
- New Concourse TVs
The Railway Stand
- New automated turnstile block on the Bycars side
- Facilities and infrastructure upgrades to support live concerts becoming a regular occurrence
The Bycars Stand
- A toilet block demolished to build a new kiosk and allow alcohol to be sold
- Facilities and infrastructure upgrades to support live concerts becoming a regular occurrence
Lorne St Stand
- The players gym is being moved to accommodate concourse fitout and eventually open unfinished section to fans
- £500,000 Robbie Williams suite holding up to 125 corporate guests
Training/players facilities
- £50,000 already spent on training pitch
- £50,000 already spent with more to come on dedicated changing rooms, physio room and analyst rooms specifically just for training days, away from the matchday facilities
- New players lounge
- Improvements to the home changing rooms
