10:05am – Rumours swirl…
After some hours of speculation on social media, the Staffordshire Sentinel runs with a story that Port Vale are set to sign Stoke Ciy defender Will Forrester on a permanent basis.
12:30pm – First signing for Vale…
The Valiants do announce a defensive signing but it’s not Forrester (yet). The first signing of the day is trialist Derek Agyakwa who agrees a permanent switch to the club.
14:22pm – Another signing for the Valiants…
There’s a second deal less than two hours later but yet again, it’s not the expected signing of Forrester. Instead, it’s youth teamer Tommy McDermott who turns professional signing a three year deal.
15:03 – Forrester crosses the divide
At 3pm, the news many fans have been waiting for is announced. Stoke City defender Will Forrester has swopped sides to sign for the Valiants on a permanent basis.
16:10pm – Vale wrap it up with a small loan
The Valiants wrap up a hectic three hours and 40 minutes of transfers with the signing of exciting Southampton youngster Thierry Small on a season-long loan deal.
