Key Port Vale midfielder may be missing for a month
Port Vale say that the timescale on Tom Conlon’s recovery from an Achilles injury is three to four weeks.
The Port Vale skipper missed the game against Leyton Orient with the injury and manager Darrell Clarke told the media: “He has had an injection into the Achilles to make it heal quicker.
“He is in a (protective) boot for two weeks and then he will rehab. So, potentially three to four weeks.
“Is that good news? Not really. Good news would be he is in my team fully fit and 100 per cent at the weekend!
“But he has gone through a period now where he has not been 100 per cent fit for numerous weeks. We have had to roll him out there because we have had injuries and he has put his body on the line for the club.
“Hopefully he comes back in this period fresh and raring to go.”
