Several months on sidelines – local press confirms long lay-off for Port Vale loanee
The Gloucestershire press say that loanee George Lloyd is set for “two to three months” on the sidelines due to a stomach injury.
Lloyd has missed Vale’s recent games and the new confirms that the striker has joined Jamie Proctor and James Wilson on the long-term injury list.
It’s another blow for the Valiants who could also be missing David Amoo with a hamstring injury while Dennis Politic is around 75% fit. It leaves Devante Rodney as the club’s only fully fit forward player.
According to Gloucestershire Live:
Lloyd has been told to take a complete rest after struggling with a stomach muscle problem and he is likely to be out for between two and three months.
The forward joined Vale on a season-long loan in August and has scored twice in three starts and eight substitute appearances in all competitions.
