Media name one of Port Vale’s trialists
Website the72.co.uk claims that Tom Solanke is one of the players currently on trial at Port Vale.
Manager Darrell Clarke named a trialist in the side to face Kidsgrove Athletic and a further two trialists in Friday night’s game against Stafford Rangers.
The 72 claims that one of the trialists is released West Brom defensive midfielder Tom Solanke.
The website claims:
A source has exclusively revealed to The72 that the Englishman is currently on trial with Port Vale who finished in 13th-place of the League two table last season.
A defensive midfielder, Solanke is a versatile name and able to fill in across the defensive line too, as well as being a commanding and athletic midfielder.
Solanke was a regular in the West Brom reserves side which played in the Premier League 2 competition. He may be well known to Clarke with the Vale manager having reportedly watched the player while the manager of Walsall.
