Colourised Port Vale photos – B&W images are transformed
Colourised Port Vale photos – B&W images are transformed. Using online software, we’ve added colour to some of our collection of vintage black and white Port Vale images. We hope that they add a whole new dimension to the photos…
The colourisation technique is not perfect. There are gaps and some areas remain grey or the wrong shade but in general the results are impressive.
Each of the boxes shows the before (black and white) and after (colour) photos.

The picture from 1967 made me remember goalkeeper Stuart Sharratt who we signed from Oswestry Town! If I recall correctly, he had some knee injury problems? First keeper after Ken Hancock that I remember!

Great work with the colourised photos. A lean 52 year old Stan Matthews leading the Vale out. Likely to have supplied even more crosses than Dave Worrall.
