We are not creating enough chances – John Askey on defeat to Morecambe
Port Vale manager John Askey said it was “frustrating” after the narrow 1-0 loss to Morecambe on Saturday.
The Valiants went behind to the home side after a 75th minute penalty but despite dominating possession, the Vale were unable to create few clear-cut opportunities as they lost their first League game of the season.
We have to be better. We are not creating enough chances…
The Port Vale manager said his team need to be more creative and create more chances telling the media: “Frustrating sums it up. We had a lot of the ball but only really created a couple of chances. You could say the same for them, they had one breakaway where Scott (Brown) made a good save. But it looked the only way anybody was going to score was a penalty.
“But we have to be better. We are not creating enough chances.”
