Well worth having a look at – Port Vale manager on trialist striker
Port Vale manager John Askey says he is keen to see trialist Harvey Bradbury play in some friendly games during the summer.
Bradbury, son of former striker Lee Bradbury, is on trial with the Valiants after being released by Millwall at the end of the 2019-20 season.
From the clips I’ve seen he works hard and he’s been at decent clubs. He’s well worth having a look at…
Askey told BBC Radio Stoke: “Harvey is still only young, he’s 21. He’s 6ft 4in, he’s big and athletic.
“From the clips I’ve seen he works hard and he’s been at decent clubs. He’s well worth having a look at. Hopefully, we’ve seen the good stuff from the physical side and he can impress us also from the football side.”
However, Askey added: “It’s not until we start playing games that you can really tell.”
The Valiants are set to play a number of friendly games before the season begins and Bradbury and trialist goalkeepers are expected to feature in them.
