Tom Pope misses out on place in FA Cup team of the season
Port Vale striker Tom Pope has missed out on a place in the FA Cup team of the season.
Pope hit the national headlines after a memorable goal against Manchester City in January. The veteran had also netted a brilliant away hat-trick against Cheltenham Town in the previous round to finish with four goals from four cup appearances.
The official FA Cup Twitter account @EmiratesFACup has been running a number of votes to determine the final XI and Pope finished in fourth place in the strikers’ vote:
