Sentinel report: seats going into Lorne Street stand
The Lorne Street stand is set to be fully seated for the first time as Port Vale confirmed that work was progressing to install seats into the unfinished half.
While the chances of Robbie Williams’ concert appear slim and fundraising for the concourse has understandably stalled due to the current global situation, the addition of the seats will at least improve the overall appearance of the stadium.
Co-owner Carol Shanahan told the newspaper: “One of the things that we had already bought were the seats to go into the Lorne Street. Because it is classed as construction and that is allowed, and they are working outside, the two chaps there to install them have said they can observe all the regulations.
“I was watching them yesterday and they kept a safe distance from each other the whole time. So, they are able to put the seats in.”
