Port Vale are charged by the FA for a second time this season
Port Vale and last weekend’s opponents Scunthorpe United have been charged with “failing to ensure that their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion” by the Football Association.
The Iron’s Matthew Lund and Vale’s David Worrall were both sent off after the final whistle on Saturday after an altercation involving players from both sides. Scunthorpe won the League Two game 2-1.
This is the second time Vale have been charged by the FA. Following the away game against Leyton Orient Vale were fined £1,750 after an on-pitch altercation.
The two clubs have until 18:00 GMT on Friday to respond. The club have already announced that they will appealing the red card which was handed out to Worrall after the final whistle.
